Description
For those who care about the country, this anthology does not promise a carefree browsing. Some may deny or repel its central message. Others may enjoy the passions and sufferings that will be answered on its pages. Some sensible people may perceive it as an anti-Greek, “ethnocentric” project, completely inappropriate at this time of celebration. However, I hope that there will be those who will see in it neither a statement of resignation nor a tasteful procrastination. But a contribution to our collective self-knowledge. And one more warning: even superficial wounds become dangerous someday, when left unattended. Especially the chronic and deep ones. Two hundred years is – it should be – enough. Not only for the diagnosis of a disease but, finally, for its cure.
