Description
A common element connects the two teachers of the nation that the author brings together, in this book, as the many years of their lives they spent together: the effort to cultivate a purely scientific spirit, mainly through the positive – natural sciences, the struggle, with other pioneering intellectuals of the time, for the education of the people and the fight against superstition, the awakening of the national spirit.
It follows two different threads in the mental universe of the two teachers of the Nation: One brings us to the revolted Paris and the French Enlightenment and the other to Germany and German philosophy. Two threads of thought that will be assimilated, combined with the Greek intellectual problems and will serve, in the best possible way, the needs of the Greek intellectual life.
