The work of Dimitrios Al. Gerontas “The Athenians and Attica in the Revolution of 1821” does not need recommendations. It is a fundamental production, the result of twenty years of research by an experienced legal and historical researcher and the culmination of half a century of authoring activity for his hometown, Athens. It was originally published in two volumes under the title “The Athenians in the Revolution of 1821”. The first volume was published in 1984 and the second seven years later, in 1991, both by the “Association of the Athenians”.
