Description
The bicentennial of the Greek Revolution is a historic landmark of first magnitude.
The book “The list of the philhellenes of Heinrich Fornesy”, by Costas Papailiou and Anastasia Tsagaraki, inaugural title of the “Philhellenic Library”, comes to fill an important bibliographic gap. The Swiss Heinrich Fornesy came to Greece with the help of Eynard, fought for the liberation from the Ottoman yoke and prepared a detailed list of Philhellenes being one of them during their time.
This list is published for the first time in the French original and in a new translation in Greek, accompanied by extensive introductory studies and rich commentaries. The general supervision and editing of the series is undertook by Costas Papailiou.
